Davao City Economic Enterprise revenue climbs 8.4% to P127 million in July

The Davao City Economic Enterprise (CEE) recorded P127.07 million in revenue in July 2026, marking an 8.40 percent increase from the P117.22 million posted in the same month last year.

The growth was largely driven by stronger collections from the city’s public markets and slaughterhouse operations, with market activities accounting for the biggest share of the agency’s earnings.

CEE data showed that market operations generated more than P87 million in July, while slaughterhouse operations contributed over P18 million.

Bankerohan Public Market led the city’s markets in revenue generation with P35,739,948.60, followed by Agdao Public Market with P24,116,853.31.

The CEE manages the operations of Davao City’s public markets, cemeteries, slaughterhouses, night markets, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) rent and road network, PPA-Sta. Ana Wharf, clearance and certification services, Magsaysay Park leasing operations, and the Davao City Recreation Center.

CEE Manager Maximo Macalipes Jr. said the agency remains committed to strengthening its operations and developing viable economic activities that can contribute to the city’s economy.

“Padayon namo nga ginapaningkamutang nga ma-fulfill g’yud namo ang mandate sa amoang office to create diverse and viable economic activities nga makatabang sa ekonomiya sa dakbayan and contribute sa growth sa Davao City,” Macalipes said.

He said the CEE’s programs and initiatives are focused on sustaining economic activity by supporting businesses, creating employment opportunities, improving community livelihoods, and strengthening coordination with stakeholders.

Macalipes said the July revenue performance underscores the continuing role of the city’s economic enterprises in driving local economic activity, particularly through the operations of public markets.

He added that the CEE will continue improving its market operations and other economic enterprises to help sustain Davao City’s growth and provide greater opportunities for businesses and communities.
