The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) arrested 76 individuals during a series of anti-crime operations conducted from July 5 to 11, 2026, as it intensified its campaign against illegal drugs, gambling, wanted persons, and loose firearms.
The anti-illegal drug campaign accounted for the highest number of arrests, with 37 suspects apprehended in 31 operations. Seized during the operations were 134.33 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P913,444 and 13.26 grams of marijuana valued at P1,591.20.
Authorities also conducted 10 anti-illegal gambling operations, resulting in the arrest of nine individuals. Police confiscated P3,290 in bet money and filed nine criminal cases.
In separate law enforcement efforts, the DCPO arrested 27 wanted persons, including 10 individuals listed among the city’s most wanted.
Meanwhile, operations against loose firearms led to the arrest of three suspects in 15 operations. Police also seized three firearms, accepted the voluntary surrender of 10 firearms, received three firearms for safekeeping, and filed three criminal cases.
City Director Colonel Peter Bauzon Madria said the accomplishments demonstrate the DCPO’s sustained efforts to strengthen public safety through intensified law enforcement and close collaboration with the community.
“DCPO remains unwavering in its mission to protect the city with the active support of the community and barangay officials,” Madria said.
He credited the success of the operations to the commitment of police personnel and the continued cooperation of residents, barangay officials, and the Davao City local government.
“These achievements reflect not only the dedication of the men and women of the DCPO but also the strong partnership with the community, barangay officials, and the local government unit. Together, we continue to build a safer and more peaceful Davao City,” Madria added.
Madria also assured the public that all police operations were carried out in accordance with established operational procedures while ensuring respect for human rights.
