An armored van sustained damage after it figured in a road crash at the Buhangin Underpass along C.P. Garcia Highway, Davao City on Friday morning, June 19.
According to a report from the Buhangin Police Station, the incident occurred at around 9:15 a.m. and was later reported to authorities through Central 911.
Initial investigation revealed that the blue armored van, operated by Masis Security Agency and driven by 29-year-old Jose Marie Manigo Villacuer, was traveling along the Davao City Diversion Road toward Ulas when it attempted to overtake a motorcycle.
Police said the driver failed to notice an uneven section of the roadway, causing the vehicle to veer into the opposite lane and lose control.
The impact resulted in damage to the armored van. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Authorities reminded motorists to exercise extra caution when overtaking and to remain alert to road conditions to help prevent similar accidents.
