PDEA, partner agencies dismantle alleged drug den in Davao City; 4 arrested

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 11 (PDEA RO11), together with the National Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Mindanao Regional Office 11 (NBI SEMRO 11) and the City Mobile Force Company (CMFC), dismantled an alleged drug den and arrested four suspects during a buy-bust operation in Davao City on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The operation was conducted by the Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET) at around 8:20 p.m. along Artiaga Street in Purok 3, Barangay 33-D.

Authorities identified the alleged drug den maintainer as alias “Eric,” who was arrested after reportedly selling one sachet of suspected shabu worth P1,000 to a PDEA poseur-buyer.

Also arrested were alias “Marvin,” identified as an alleged drug den employee, and two alleged visitors, alias “Rodrigo” and alias “Wencesito.”

Authorities said they seized nine sachets of suspected shabu of varying sizes, with a combined estimated weight of about 20 grams and an estimated standard market value of P136,000.

Also confiscated were assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked money used in the buy-bust operation.

PDEA RO11 Regional Director Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi commended the operating teams and partner agencies for their coordination and collaboration.

Gaspi reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to dismantling drug dens and preventing the spread of illegal drugs in communities.

The four arrested suspects are set to face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
