Davao City recorded generally safe air quality levels as of 7 a.m. on Thursday based on the latest monitoring update from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB).
Data from the Calinan monitoring station showed a fair air quality rating for particulate matter 10 (PM10), while particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) was rated good.
Authorities said the recorded air quality posed no health risk, with outdoor activities considered safe under the prevailing conditions.
The monitoring update comes as authorities continue to keep track of air quality in the city following recent haze episodes linked to transboundary smoke from fires in Indonesia.
Residents are advised to continue monitoring official air quality updates and follow precautionary measures should conditions change.
