The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) recorded a total of 148 arrests during a weeklong series of operations targeting illegal drugs, gambling, wanted persons, and loose firearms.
In its accomplishment report covering April 26 to May 2, 2026, the DCPO said the intensified operations were conducted with the support of communities and local officials.
Authorities carried out 47 anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the arrest of 55 suspects. Seized during these operations were 238.9764 grams of shabu valued at around P1.62 million, along with 153.96 grams of marijuana worth P18,475.20.
In the campaign against illegal gambling, 17 operations resulted in the arrest of 33 individuals. Police also confiscated P13,319 in bet money and filed 17 corresponding cases.
Meanwhile, 52 operations against wanted persons led to the arrest of 52 individuals, including 25 listed as most wanted.
Operations against loose firearms reached 24, resulting in the arrest of eight suspects. Authorities seized nine firearms, recorded 12 surrendered firearms, recovered one firearm, and placed five under safekeeping, with eight cases filed.
DCPO City Director Peter Madria said the results underscore the office’s sustained campaign against criminality while ensuring adherence to proper procedures.
“These achievements reflect not only the dedication of the men and women of DCPO but also the strong partnership with the community, barangay officials, and the Local Government Unit. Together, we continue to build a safer and more peaceful Davao City,” Madria said.
