Authorities apprehended two alleged drug personalities in a buy-bust operation carried out around 11:35 a.m. on April 21, 2026, in Purok 41, Yñiguez Subdivision, Barangay Maa, Davao City.
The operation was led by personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), working closely with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11 (RPDEU 11) and other supporting units. Arrested were alias “Mart,” tagged as a high-value individual (HVI) and a top-priority target, and his companion, “Craig,” identified as a street-level individual (SLI).
Seized during the operation were multiple sachets of suspected shabu, including one sold to an undercover operative and two others recovered as part of possession. The illegal drugs were estimated to have a standard value of P782,000.
Authorities also recovered buy-bust money consisting of a marked P1,000 bill and several pieces of boodle money, along with an additional P500 bill suspected to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions.
Both suspects are residents of Barangay Talomo in Davao City. Alias “Mart,” who is unemployed, resides in Diwata Subdivision, Bangkal, while “Craig,” also without employment, is a resident of Central Park Subdivision, Bangkal.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against the suspects.
Police officials said the successful operation underscores their continued efforts to combat illegal drugs and maintain peace and order in the city.
