PRO 11 chief, 85 personnel clear mandatory drug test

The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) announced that all 85 personnel who underwent mandatory drug testing on Tuesday tested negative.

Among those screened was PRO 11 Regional Director Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete, as part of efforts to ensure the physical and mental readiness of police personnel.

PRO 11 said the activity forms part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) “Focused Agenda,” which emphasizes integrity, accountability, and professionalism across the organization.

Rosete noted that the clean results highlight the effectiveness of the unit’s ongoing campaign to maintain high standards within the police force.

He stressed that a drug-free workplace is a collective responsibility, starting from leadership down to the rank and file.

“We expect our personnel to lead by example. Being part of the police organization means upholding discipline at all times, and that includes staying away from illegal drugs. This is part of our commitment to serving the public with integrity,” Rosete said.

Rosete also pointed out that the initiative supports the directive of Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police, who has been advocating for intensified internal cleansing efforts.

He added that through regular and unannounced drug testing, PRO 11 aims to strengthen public trust and ensure that its personnel remain capable and reliable in carrying out their duties.
