Drug den dismantled in DdO town, P130-K worth of shabu seized

Authorities dismantled an alleged drug den and seized approximately P130,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted in the early hours of Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Davao de Oro Provincial Office, in coordination with the Mabini Municipal Police Station, carried out the operation at around 3:40 a.m. in Purok 9, Barangay Cadunan, Mabini.

The primary target, identified as alias “Nikoy,” 25, was arrested after allegedly selling one sachet of suspected shabu—approximately 10 grams worth P10,000—to an undercover PDEA operative. He is believed to be the maintainer of the drug den.

Also apprehended were alias “Oning,” reportedly an employee of the drug den, and a visitor identified as alias “Aying.”

Seized during the operation were seven heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu, with a total estimated weight of 19 grams and a street value of P129,200. Authorities also recovered a Glock .40 caliber pistol with live ammunition, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the marked buy-bust money.

The suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
