DOT 11’s Davao Adventure Challenge S2 to start September 1

The much awaited second season of the Department of Tourism 11’s (DOT 11’s) Davao Adventure Challenge (DAC) will finally kick off on September 1, 2025.

Launched on August 26, 2025, the DAC Season 2, which will run until August 31, 2026, promises more exciting and thrilling experiences as it will feature various adventure sites in Davao Region.

The DAC is DOT 11’s tourism marketing campaign that is aimed to provide thrill seekers, adventure travelers, and tourists a range of adventure offerings of the region, ranging from its diverse hiking trails, mesmerizing dive sites, enchanting caves, to refreshing waterfalls, and exhilarating water activities.

DOT 11 Director Tanya Rabat-Tan said that on its second season, DOT 11 is excited to embark on the new escapade that promises more breathtaking views, more adrenaline-pumping moments, and more thrilling adventures that will leave everyone wanting more.

“We are not just set to welcome fresh challengers, but we are also opening the door to new and exciting sites – making this year’s Davao Adventure Challenge bigger, bolder, and more immersive than ever before,” Rabat-Tan said in her message.

“Thus, today we are more than energized to carry this initiative forward. Let this launch serve as an open invitation to everybody to join the Davao Adventure Challenge Program – Season 2 and experience Davao like never before. Because more than the prices, this program is a chance for you to take the front-row ticket to experience nature’s raw beauty and a chance to be part of something truly extraordinary,” she added.

For Season 2, participants will hike Mount Apo, Mounts Lamabal, Loay, and Dinor, all in Davao del Sur; and Mounts Hamiguitan, Kagan Dinagsaan Peak, and Sandugan Peak, all in Davao Oriental, as well as Mount Karilongan and the Eden Mountain Trail in Davao City.

Participants will also do white water rafting in Davao City, go on water tubing in the Sibulan River in Davao del Sur, snorkeling at the Giant Clam Sanctuary in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS), skimboarding at Dahican Beach in Mati City, and diving in Samal, Gov. Generoso, and Pujada Bay.

For adventure, participants will experience the thrill at Tagtugonan Falls and Matol Falls in Kapalong, Davao del Norte, and Pyalitan Falls and Tagbibinta Falls in Maragusan, Davao de Oro.

They will also explore the caves at Su’bon Cave, Fyingi Sol Cave, Okbot Cave, Alina Cave, and Saliducon Cave.

Rabat-Tan said the previous seasons opened good opportunities for lesser-known destinations, empowered and inspired community-based sites, and created a lasting positive impact on locals.

“This program has not only tested our challengers’ endurance but it also sparked positive transformation for our communities and sites,” she said.
