A 49-year-old alleged drug personality was arrested after selling suspected shabu to an undercover agent during a buy-bust operation in Padada, Davao del Sur on Monday night, October 6.
The operation was conducted around 7:10 p.m. at Linda Village in Barangay Harada Butai by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 11 (PDEA 11), through its Davao del Sur Provincial Office, in coordination with the Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office and the Padada Municipal Police Station.
Arrested was alias “Ruel,” who allegedly sold a heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, worth P7,000 to an operative posing as a buyer.
Authorities also confiscated two additional heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 12 grams and estimated to be worth P81,600.
The buy-bust marked money was likewise recovered from the suspect.
The confiscated substances were secured for proper documentation and laboratory examination.
Authorities said the suspect will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
