A high-value individual (HVI) listed as Top 6 in the city-level drug watchlist was arrested following the implementation of a search warrant on Saturday morning, October 11, 2025, in Davao City.
The suspect, known by the alias “Jong-Jong,” is a 35-year-old resident of Purok 13, Bugac, Barangay Maa. He was apprehended by personnel of the Ma-a Police Station.
The operation was conducted at around 10:30 a.m. in accordance with Search Warrant No. 2579, issued by Hon. Judge Rowena M. Apao-Adlawan, Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Davao City.
During the search, authorities confiscated a .45 ACP Forjas Taurus model pistol, one magazine loaded with three live rounds of ammunition, a black sling bag, and five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The total weight of the suspected drugs was approximately 50 grams, with an estimated street value of P340,000.00.
All seized items were properly marked and inventoried on-site in the presence of the suspect and invited witnesses, in accordance with legal procedures.
The suspect is now facing charges for violations of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
