P3.6-M worth of shabu, ecstasy seized from high-value drug personality

Authorities apprehended a suspected high-level drug dealer during a buy-bust operation carried out by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 11 (PDEA 11) through its Regional Special Enforcement Team–Davao City Office, in coordination with Police Precinct 2.

The operation took place at approximately 4:40 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Purok 10-B, Lower Madapo, Barangay 8-A, Davao City.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Bryan,” 21, and a resident of the area, was arrested after selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing around 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, to an undercover PDEA agent. The seized sachet is estimated to be worth P40,000.

A subsequent search of the suspect’s premises yielded approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu valued at P3,400,000, along with 96 tablets of suspected methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), commonly known as ecstasy, worth P163,200. Drug paraphernalia and the marked buy-bust money were also recovered at the scene.

The suspect is currently facing charges for violations of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) under Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
