A high-level business delegation from Thailand visited Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE) in Panabo City on September 19, 2025, reinforcing growing economic and diplomatic ties between Thailand and the Philippines.
The visit was led by Her Excellency Makawadee Sumitmor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Philippines, and Dr. Nalinee Taveesin, Advisor to the Thai Prime Minister. This marked a follow-up to the Ambassador’s earlier engagements with AIE, signaling Thailand’s deepening interest in Mindanao’s investment landscape.
The delegation toured several key facilities within AIE, including the sites of HEAD Sport and Thai Coconut, one of Thailand’s major exporters of coconut products. Thai Coconut formally partnered with Damosa Land in February 2025 for the development of a new manufacturing facility aimed at scaling up its export operations from the Philippines.
Construction of the Thai firm’s production plant is now in full swing, reflecting both confidence in the region’s potential and the strategic importance of AIE as a launchpad for Southeast Asian businesses.
This latest visit by the Thai delegation underscores AIE’s rising profile as Mindanao’s international trade and investment gateway—a center for innovation, logistics, and economic collaboration in the southern Philippines.
